When I learned I needed a hip replacement because of severe bone-on-bone pain, I knew recovery wasn’t going to be easy. After spending more than a week in the hospital, I was given a list of rehabilitation centers to choose from. Warren Barr Gold Coast stood out to me, and looking back, I’m so glad I made that choice.
My goal was simple: I wanted to regain my independence and feel confident taking care of myself again.
From the very beginning, the therapy team was incredible. Rochelle spent time teaching me practical skills that made a huge difference in my recovery. She helped me learn how to safely dress myself, use adaptive equipment, and manage everyday tasks. She even made sure I had the tools I needed, from a reacher to a long-handled sponge, so I could continue progressing on my own.
Christian and the rest of the therapy team pushed me when I needed it most. They encouraged me to get up, stay active, and keep working toward my goals. Their guidance and support helped me build both strength and confidence.
What impressed me most was how attentive everyone was. The staff arrived when they said they would, responded quickly when I needed assistance, and genuinely cared about making my stay comfortable. Whether it was a therapist, nurse, or CNA, I always felt supported.
The facility itself exceeded my expectations. It was beautiful, welcoming, and unlike any rehabilitation center I had experienced before. One of my favorite places was the penthouse area with its waterfall—it was such a peaceful and relaxing space during my recovery.
Of course, no recovery is perfect, but whenever I had a concern, the team addressed it right away. That responsiveness meant a lot to me and showed how much they cared about my experience.
Warren Barr Gold Coast gave me the support, encouragement, and rehabilitation I needed to recover successfully after surgery. The care I received was top quality, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to heal and regain their independence.
